| Tower Bridge |
|Appearances||Sherlock Holmes (2009 film)|
After foiling Lord Blackwood's attempted mass murder at the Houses of Parliament, Sherlock Holmes chased Blackwood through the sewers to this bridge, simultaneously following Irene Adler, who had stolen Blackwood's canisters of poison gas for Professor Moriarty. However, when Holmes finally caught up with Adler, and convinced her to tell him the truth, Blackwood dropped from above and attacked the two.
After knocking Irene over the edge, Blackwood and Holmes dueled until Holmes managed to exploit a rope that was lying on the ground, getting it twisted around Blackwood's leg and then knocking the beam it was attached to off the edge. The weight of the beam pulled Blackwood down the bridge, incapacitating him by forcing him to hold onto the catwalk to avoid falling off. Holmes then proceeded to reveal that he had figured out the entirety of Blackwood's plan. While Holmes did then save Blackwood from falling off the edge by cutting the rope around his leg, His Lordship was nevertheless killed shortly after when a metal crane collapsed, knocking him through the floor, where he was accidentally hanged by a chain that wrapped itself around his neck.
- Tower Bridge has on occasion been mixed up with London Bridge, although the myth that Robert McCulloch of Arizona didn't realise which one he was purchasing has since been disproven.
