Filming locations

Like in most of the series, locations meant to portray the original story's London and Hampshire countryside setting actually utilised the north of England for both exterior and interior filming, albeit on carefully chosen sites. Gawthorpe Hall in Padiham, Lancashire, was used as the primary stand-in for the fictional Copper Beeches estate and its manor house. [1] [2] [3]
