'Notable'[]

Okay, this page says it's a list of 'notable' props and costumes, however that's not the case with several of them. Things such as the 'riding crop', 'Mycroft's umbrella', 'Sherlock's phones'. Actually... most of these are really unnecessary and frankly, the ones of importance could really just have their own page—ie. the 'pink lady's phone', Sherlock's deerstalker, coat, and scarf, and Irene Adler's phone. Perhaps the pills, too. Fruipit (talkcontribseditcount) 09:27, June 6, 2014 (UTC)

A lot of the Sherlock content on this wiki was imported from the old Sherlock wiki that we merged with and this page was from there. If I remember correctly, I think it had been lots of individual pages that I reduced to this one as I, like you, thought that a lot of the items weren't deserving of a page of their own. I also think that some of the content on here was copied from Sherlockology - although I never checked that out for definite.
I suppose what it comes down to is do we want to allow pages for absolutely anything to do with Sherlock Holmes, or do we want to discriminate between what we think is notable and what isn't. I used to think that we should be discriminating but I can see the other point of view. --Amateur Obsessive (talk) 22:22, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
I don't think we need to have everything. I mean, what's stopping someone from putting 'Mycroft's treadmill' or 'Sherlock's nicotine patches' on there? I think that we just need a system whereby only items that have enough content should be added. I'm fine with listing it, similar to the list of items found in Baker Street, but having quotes and images for each individual item is unnecessary. Any item that we can expand on (my first thought for those is lumping 'Sherlock's costume' all as one page) I'm all for expanding and moving to its own page.
