Season Two of Elementary is the second season of CBS's contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories set in the United States. It premiered on CBS on 26 September, 2013.
Production[]
On March 27, 2013, CBS announced that it had renewed Elementary for a second season.[1] Production began in July that same year.[2]
At the same time, executive producer Robert Doherty revealed that the season premier would be filmed in London, with Sherlock Holmes being called to London to revisit an old case where he is forced to face his past. Joan Watson learns more about Holmes' mysterious life and the company he kept prior to leaving for New York City.[3]
Doherty also spoke about the possibility of season two introducing Holmes' father and revealing more about Watson's past.[4]
