Una Stubbs was an English actress who played Mrs Hudson in the BBC's TV series Sherlock. Stubbs was a former dancer and had appeared extensively on British television and in theatre, and less frequently in films.
She was particularly known for her roles in the sitcom Till Death Us Do Part and as Aunt Sally in the children's series Worzel Gummidge. The latter series starred Jon Pertwee, the Third Doctor and father of Sean, as the eponymous scarecrow. Ms. Stubbs had known Benedict Cumberbatch since his childhood, a fact which occasionally affected their performances.
