Dorak is an associate of the Bohemian quack doctor Löwenstein. He was responsible for distributing his drugs throughout England and operated out of Commercial Road in London. He only had two clients in the country, one of whom was Professor Presbury, to whom he sold "rejuvenation elixirs" made from langur extracts.
Particularly given the A. initial in the text, the name may be designed to evoke Antonín Dvořák [ˈantoɲiːn ˈdvor̝aːk], the Czech composer who received an honorary degree from the University of Cambridge.
