Young Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud is the first novel in the Young Sherlock Holmes series that depicts Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective Sherlock Holmes from the age of fourteen onwards in the 1860s. It was written by Andrew Lane and released in the UK on 4 June, 2010 by Macmillan Books.

Holmes is picked up from the end of his term at the all-boys school he attends by Mycroft Holmes, his brother, instead of his father. It is revealed that his father is presently in India serving in the British army. Young Holmes is then sent to stay with relatives, his uncle (father's brother) and aunt. The adolescent Holmes ends up solving a murder-mystery involving bees, a military uniform factory being used as a front, and a mysterious man known as the Baron.
