Count von und zu Grafenstein is a client of Sherlock Holmes mentioned in "His Last Bow". Holmes saved him from being murdered by a Nihilist named Klopman. Coincidentally, he was also the elder brother of the mother of Von Bork, who would later be Holmes' nemesis in his final case.
